DIY [super] Wall Art with epoxy resin coating
The rooms in our homes should be filled with items that bring joy. And in my small opinion, be thrifty and creative and reflective of the personalities that live there. So, as I wrap up my series of super easy superhero decor ideas, I was eager to create my own custom piece of superhero wall with a super cool epoxy resin product by USAonCanvas.com.
What is epoxy resin, you ask?
Resin is a very THICK, clear and super glossy coating that is applied on top of artwork. The epoxy is then mixed with a hardener that creates a rigid piece of art, that once cured, makes it heat-, scratch- and water-resistant. Finger print smudges can be wiped away with a damp cloth. Great when you have curious, pint-sized art connoisseurs around!
My absolute favorite thing about this piece of custom epoxy resin-coated artwork is that it not only has this awesome sheen (it. is. so. shiny.) but it makes my simple, novice DIY graphic design skills look legit!
Epoxy on Canvas-Wrap or Wood-Mount
While epoxy resin can be applied to a variety of artwork types, like acrylic and oil, watercolors or paper collages, I opted to have my digital artwork wood-mounted. So not only is the Flash the fastest man alive, he practically pops off the wall on a 1.5″ wood panel mount!
