INSIDE: How to make a bright and colorful DIY Margarita Day Cinco de Mayo Fiesta Wreath.
I don’t know about you but I cannot pass up a Mexican fiesta! Taco Tuesday is probably the best day of the week.
And as an Arizonan, burritos, guacamole and margaritas are just part of our southwest way of life. Which is why National Margarita Day (February 22nd) and Cinco de Mayo (May 5th) are great days of celebration!
To celebrate these days of fiesta, I have created a colorful front door wreath. It’s bright, fast and fun! Salt or no salt, let’s celebrate today…

DIY Margarita Day Cinco de Mayo Fiesta Wreath
Supplies:
– Foam wreath
– Fiesta themed cocktail napkins
– Straight pins
– Mini margarita shot glasses
– Acrylic paints
– Crepe paper floral garland
– Scissors
– Glue dots
DIY colorful fiesta wreath
Step #1:
Spread the cocktail napkin out. Cut it in half so you have two sections.
Step #2:
Wrap each section of the cocktail napkin around the foam wreath. Secure with straight pins.
Step #3:
With the wreath fully covered in paper napkins, paint the inside of the mini margarita shot glasses a variety of fiesta-esque colors! You will most likely need to give each glass 2-3 coats of paint.
Step #4:
While the glasses dry, spread out the crepe paper floral garland. I was able to gently ply apart the adjoined flowers. Using glue dots to secure, I placed these crepe paper flowers onto the wreath.
Apply glue dots to a side of the painted margarita glasses and place them – in some happy, fiesta style – onto the wreath. I alternated flowers with glasses.
Remember to leave a small area of the wreath open to add a festive bow.
Step #5:
Unfold three cocktail napkins. Gather them in the middle to form a bow shape.
Unfold a fourth napkin and proceed to fold into itself until it forms a long rectangle. Use this piece to gather and secure the napkin bows. Use a glue dot to hold together and another glue dot to secure onto the wreath.
Ole! A colorful fiesta wreath. Perfect for National Margarita Day, Cinco de Mayo or just any Taco Tuesday day of the week!

HI Victoria,
With a sister in Arizona and vacations in Mexico, I’ve come to love Mexican culture, (even though I live in Maine!), Cinco de Mayo, and, of course, Margaritas! Your wreathe is adorable and I really appreciate the step-by-step directions. Gracias!
