How to Make Easy Paper Goodie Bag July 4th Garland
Party bags aren’t just for birthday treats. Celebrate the Red, White and Blue with a very simple-to-craft patriotic garland using paper goodie bags. All hail the Crafty Chief!
How to Make Paper Goodie Bag July 4th Garland
Cut a piece of twine a little longer than the length of where the garland will be displayed. Since I was going to string mine across my fireplace mantel, I measured this length and then cut the twine accordingly.
Turn the goodie bag horizontally. Grab it in the middle and gather it so that it resembles a bow shape. Like this…
Wrap the twine around the middle of the bow. Knot at the back of the bow.
Continue making paper bows, lining them up along the twine, until you reach your desired length.
If desired, add a second bow on top of the first bow. Do so by cutting a paper goodie bag in half lengthwise.
Gather it in the middle to make a bow, sandwich it between the first bow and secure with the twine.
Flip the garland over. Secure the bows to the twine with a piece of tape to give them more stability.
You may also choose to put a piece of rolled tape under each side of the bow where the bows overlap.
Add some patriotic scrapbook stickers to the middle of each bow.
